We Are An EnviroSchool

Stanmore Bay School is an EnviroSchool.  This means that we will look after our School and the environment around it.

We take care of our school by taking home our lunch rubbish in our lunch boxes.

We also have different sustainable systems in our school to help reduce and recycle.
We have:
* Worm Farm Bins in every class room
* A Worm Farm.  We use this to put on our plants to help them grow.
* Paper Recycling in every classroom
* Compost Pig.  We use this to spread compost on our gardens as well.

We also have a group of children who are called the EARTH HELPERS.  This group of kids help come up with ideas that help us be an environmentally friendly school. 

These children also have a group called the Rubbish Crusaders.  They go around at lunch eating times and check that the children are doing their bit for the environment and taking their rubbish home.
Children can then go into the draw to win some cool prizes.
